Today's Newsletter: Course & Range
Course & Range
How many times have you heard a story like this or experienced it yourself?
“ I practiced during the week at the range and it was really good. Then, on the day of the game, I got there early and hit some practice balls and they were great. I was looking forward to the game and possibly setting a personal best. I felt great. Then, on the course, it was like I was possessed by the ‘duffer demon’. I talked to my pro and he told me to check all the things I had checked during the game; grip, stance, position, etc. I don’t know why this happens.”
Well if this happens to you, I’ll bet that your head was full of swing thoughts, your muscles were tense, your breathing was not controlled, and you were not really relaxed at all. In short, it was your mental game that was off.
The only way you can successfully bring the range to the course is to develop a sound and well practiced pre-shot routine that includes a strong mental game approach to each and every shot.
When you’re on the range, things are a great deal more relaxed. The course is different. First of all, when you hit a shot on the range, you just hit it followed by another one. You don’t have to go find your ball and see what you can make of your next shot from where you left this one. Then there’s the scoring, and your buddies watching, and the banter, and the looks and groans. Without a strong and well developed mental game, unless luck is with you, there is no way to take the range to the course.
So what’s the answer? Obviously to develop a strong mental game and approach that allows for self examination of missed shots without destroying your concentration, the hole, or the game. No, I’m not talking about some trite platitude of, “just hit one shot at a time”. I’m talking about a program that shows you how to develop a system that will:
• Increase you concentration
• Discover the A, B, C's of every golf shot. It's not what you think!
• Eliminate those technical thoughts that destroy your natural swing
• Bolster your confidence for every shot
• Improve your visualization skills
• Train your subconscious mind to swing automatically without interference from your conscious mind.
• Re-stabilize you after a bad shot and get you right back on track
But this won’t happen without some action on your part, and not just reading a small book either. Like your well developed swing, it takes some practice and there are drills to keep you sharp. These drills or tasks cover the full range of the 11 fundamentals of the mental game. These tasks will help you to form new and better habits so you'll play more to your golfing potential on a more consistent basis. In short, you'll love the results you get when you complete this program.
Look, life is too short to be frustrated with your golf game. The time to take action is now. It's now your turn to become the consistent golfer you’ve always wanted to be and know you can be once and for all. Start right now so that in your very next game of golf you can improve and keep improving consistently. So stop dreaming and start doing. Take action now and order How To Get Mentally Tough and start improving your golf game right away.
